E-juice and Nicotine Levels

All About VG/PG Ratios

So, what exactly is E-juice anyways and what is it made of?

Time for a mini chemistry lesson! Did you know that E-juice is made up of the following?

  • Water
  • Vegetable glycerin (VG),
  • Propylene glycol (PG)
  • Flavourings.
  • And smokers tears (just kidding, or are we?)

Okay so enough of the science talk, let’s make this more people friendly!  Basically the VG and PG levels are what affect the taste and flavour of your vapour. It is also a determinant in the amount of vapour you produce when it hits your throat.

So why is it that a high level PG e-juice is the best place for beginner vapers to start? Well, in laymen terms the e-liquid provides a way more soothing and intense experience and a lot less vapour than the rest of the gang. A high-VG juice has a much thicker consistency than a high-PG juice, which is fun for the show people out there…

Why?

What is e-liquid? What blend is best for me?

Well, although a high-VG is gentle on the throat, it produces really impressive vape clouds, thanks to its low coil resistance (ohms). If you want to be You-tube famous or just want to impress people with your vaping abilities, high VG is the way to go.

Side note* VG-only juice contains absolutely no propylene glycol. This is great news for someone who has a high sensitivity or allergy to propylene glycol. Added bonus, did you know that any vape works with VG-only juice? Although, fair warning it will be denser and thicker than you may be used to, so try to select the ideal tank and mod for this.

How to Choose Nicotine Levels

The most talked about question…

When it comes to choosing your e-liquid, we know you’re wondering which nicotine level will work best for you. The answer is purely individualistic, for instance, how did you go about choosing your brand of cigarettes? The nicotine level is based on personal preferences in terms of what you’ve already used and the cigarettes you smoked.

The easiest and best way to find out your nicotine level is check out the dosage on the pack of cigarettes you’ve been inhaling and go from there. There are also some really great and accurate nicotine charts and guides available online!
